hi there,

my name is benj, and i just discovered your podcast on false justice from manahawkin. i used to have their demo tape as well as out loud’s demo tape, which i believe was their new name in ‘89 or ‘90. somewhere i just downloaded the FJ demo a few weeks ago and have been playing it non-stop since then, after not hearing it for over 15 years. the out loud demo was amazing too – we used to listen to it all the time, but i haven’t been able to find a digital/downloadable copy of it.

some friends of mine were friends with mitch perkins, who was in the band i believe. manahwakin was a good hour+ away from us in the trenton/princeton area but still we managed to get our hands on their music somehow. FJ/out loud really had some of the best hardcore out of NJ during that time and it’s a shame they disbanded. no future was another band from that era and somewhere near the jersey shore that played great hardcore. i have their 7″ somewhere.

just wanted to thank you for the podcast and let you know that FJ/out loud still get played, even here in upstate new york.

Hey! For once, I have to agree with frank…this is all the way awesome!! and I think it goes without saying, but The High Life can kick the ass of ALL the other fake bands in nj.
